To All Booster Members

I wanted to thank you all for the beautiful plaque and gift certificate presented to me at the Banquet. I have enjoyed serving as President these past two years as well as Vice President three years ago. Its been a lot of work but we have had some fun along the way also. I will hang my plaque with pride in my office and the sincere words and ever prominent helmet will bring back memories each time I reflect on my time with the McDowell Football Boosters. As a group, I believe we have made a difference for the program. We should all be proud of what we’ve accomplished. We have a strong membership that is active and involved. We have a good bank account balance. The weight room is well stocked. Committees are organized and prepared for the season. I can say that from where I stand, I believe the Football Boosters are the most organized group at McDowell and our results support that. All of us deserve a pat on the back. The Boosters are in place to support the Football Team and provide the players and coaches the necessary things the District doesn’t fund or provide. Our team has received everything they need to be comfortable and succeed. With those goals in mind, I judge we have achieved our agenda well. My memories with the Boosters are good ones. The parents involved are all good people and I have made lasting friendships with many of you. Our meetings were productive and for the most part pretty easy going. I’m hopeful that this energy will continue and the new parents coming in will get involved and help out. Thank you again for the gift. I sincerely appreciate your thoughtfulness. Best of luck in the coming years. I will miss all of the good times I’ve experienced while involved. I hope to see everyone at the games in the fall.
